Congress Getting Overwhelming Support In The Old City: Mujeebullah Shareef

Hyderabad, November 16: Congress candidate for Charminar constituency, Mujeebullah Shareef, on Thursday asserted that the Congress party is receiving overwhelming support in the Old City of Hyderabad, particularly in the Charminar constituency.

Addressing media persons after conducting a door-to-door campaign in various Charminar localities alongside social worker Syed Saleem and Congress leaders Askar Ali Baig, Hyder Ali, and Aslam Shareef, Mujeebullah Shareef expressed the growing dissatisfaction among Charminar residents with AIMIM and its leadership. He lamented the decades of neglect that the Charminar constituency has endured, highlighting the lack of basic amenities and the absence of effective grievance redressal mechanisms.

“The people of Charminar constituency yearn for development, better roads, quality power supply, a robust drainage system, safe drinking water, and other essential facilities. However, these issues have been consistently overlooked by the MIM leadership. Instead, they have prioritized real estate ventures, land grabbing, and the proliferation of anti-social activities. As a consequence, despite the Charminar constituency’s immense potential for tourism and other commercial activities, it has remained underdeveloped,” Mujeebullah Shareef asserted.
