Congress Leader KVP Asks CM to Demolish His Farmhouse If it is in FTL, Welcomes Musi Project

Hyderabad, Oct 4 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha member, KVP Ramachandra Rao, has written an open letter to KVP Ramachandra Rao, asking for the demolition of any part of his farmhouse in Aziznagar if it is found within the Full Tank Level (FTL) or buffer zone. Rao reiterated that his family is ready to comply with the law and take responsibility for removing any encroachments at their own expense.

According to Rao, his family members have confirmed that there are no structures within the FTL or buffer zone. “I made it clear that if there is any construction even an inch within the FTL or buffer zone, my family will demolish it and clean up the area within 48 hours without burdening the government,” he stated.

In his letter, Rao requested transparency in marking the boundaries, suggesting that authorities announce the date and time in advance so that opposition leaders and media can witness the process. “I want the marking process to be transparent. Let it be done openly, with everyone having the opportunity to observe,” he added.

Rao emphasized that as a Congress leader, he does not seek any special treatment. “I don’t want any exemptions from the law. Treat me like any ordinary citizen and let the law take its course,” he wrote.

In addition to addressing the farmhouse issue, Rao expressed his support for the Congress-led government’s initiative to clean and beautify the Musi River. He recalled his visits to Nereducherla during his time in Rajya Sabha and noted the dire state of the polluted Musi waters. Rao welcomed the current efforts, stating, “I fully support the Musi clean-up and beautification project under your leadership.”

Rao also conveyed feedback from party well-wishers, suggesting that the government consider completing the clean-up in the first phase and moving to beautification in the second.  He said As a committed Congress worker, he expressed his endorsement of all development projects carried out by the government, as long as they do not harm the poor.
