Congress Means Power, Power Means Congress: Bhatti Vikramarka

Hyderabad, Nov 6 (Maxim News): “Congress itself is electricity, and electricity itself is Congress. Those who said power supply would stop if Congress came to power will realise the truth when they experience both Congress and current,” said Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. He was speaking at a public meeting after participating in several development programmes in the Pargi constituency.

He said the government is providing free electricity up to 200 units to 53 lakh families across the state. In Vikarabad district alone, 2,47,777 families are benefitting, of which 1,43,190 are poor families. In Pargi constituency alone, 44,500 households are receiving free power under the Gruha Jyothi scheme.

He said the state government is paying ₹42 crore to the Electricity Department to supply free power up to 200 units in Vikarabad district, and overall, the government is paying ₹2,830 crore every month to the Electricity Department for poor households under this scheme.

He praised MLA Rammohan Reddy for his efforts in securing ₹3,000 crore for the Naivel project, which was ignored by the previous government for 10 years. He stated that the ₹3,000 crore related to defence projects will provide great employment opportunities for local youth.

He said major substation works are being taken up to support future industrial growth in Pargi. Speaking about a recent road accident, he assured that the government is supporting the affected families in all ways.

BRS Govt Neglected It For 10 Years: Bhatti

He said the road from Manneguda to Bijapur was approved during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era, but the previous BRS government neglected it for 10 years. He said the Congress government worked to remove the NGT-2 case by last month (30th), due to which the four-lane road project is now progressing rapidly.

He criticised opposition leaders for claiming that the Congress government harmed the poor. “If we list out the works of the previous government, the truth will come out – they did nothing,” he said. He questioned the BRS’ unfulfilled promises of 3-acre land, one job per house, Bangaru Telangana, irrigation for 1 lakh acres in each constituency, and projects on Krishna River. He reminded people of the ₹1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram project scam, which everyone is now aware of.

He said during the UPA regime, when 100-day NREGA works were carried out, BRS ministers and MLAs took pictures breaking coconuts at work sites as if they themselves were doing labourers’ jobs, mocking democracy.

4.5 lakh Indiramma houses sanctioned

He said the previous BRS government promised double bedroom houses but did not build a single one for the poor. The Congress government, immediately after coming to power, sanctioned 3,500 houses per constituency at ₹5 lakh each, amounting to 4.5 lakh houses statewide. He challenged the opposition to come and see the houses being constructed in any constituency.

He said 93 lakh families are receiving fine rice and that under Rajiv Aarogyasri, 93 lakh families are receiving medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh per family in empanelled hospitals. He said the previous government did not even conduct Group-1 exams in 10 years, depriving job-seeking youth, whereas the Congress government has already issued 60,000 jobs and even went to court to ensure Group-1 appointments were made.

He said the government has spent ₹1,60,310 crore solely on welfare — including Rythu Bharosa, loan waiver, bonus, and fine rice distribution. He said 100 Integrated Schools have been sanctioned across the state, each on 25 acres at a cost of ₹200 crore, including one in Parigi.

These schools will offer world-class education on par with international standards, he said.

Public Outreach by Electricity Department

He announced that the Telangana government will conduct “Prajabatha” (public outreach) under the Electricity Department three days a week. Officials will go directly to the people, with a vehicle like an ambulance. He said solar power generation will be increased significantly.

He said no opposition can stop Telangana’s rising progress. “Congress rule will not deceive people. Every moment, this is a people’s government working for the people. That is the core ideology of the Congress Party,” he said. (Maxim News)
