Congress Minority Declaration To Facilitate Implementation Of UCC: KTR

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (Maxim News): The Working President of BRS and Minister K. Tarak Rama Rao alleged that the Congress party’s minorities Declaration is a conspiracy to take away the minority status from Muslims and Christians and express fear that it is preparing ground to introduce Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

Interacting with the media persons, at his residence (Pragathi Bhavan) today, KTR pointed out that in its Minorities declaration, Congress govt is promising to conduct caste census and ensure fair reservation for all Backward Classes, including Minorities. In what way Muslims and other minorities are related to caste-census? Muslims, christians and Sikhs are religious minorities.  This status has been granted by the Constitution of India.

He alleged that the Congress party, under the influence of RSS-ideology, wants to take away that status and count Muslims and other minorities among other backward classes.  If Muslims and other minorities are included in the OBCs, then both the minorities as well as BC communities will lose.  Congress’ declaration is in sync with BJP’s ideology of ‘Pasmanda Musalman‘.  Once minorities are counted as BCs, then there will be no need for a separate Minorities Welfare ministry, Minorities Commission, or other bodies.

The BC-E category was exclusively created in 2006-07 to provide 4 per cent Muslim reservation, but it does not mean that all Muslims are BCs.  By trying to link the Muslims with BCs, Telangana Congress, headed by a RSS-functionary, is hurting the interest of both Muslims as well as BC communities.  This is deliberately being done to give BJP an opportunity to target the Muslims accusing them of stealing the benefits meant for BCs.  Congress is trying to create a rift between the Muslims and BCs.  Now it has been proved that Congress is neither sincere with Muslims nor BCs.
