In the complaint, caccused Bandi Sanjay of using abusive language against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during a campaign in Borabanda. He said the remarks were an intentional attempt to malign the Chief Minister and to provoke voters on communal grounds, which constituted a serious breach of the MCC. Rajesh Kumar asserted that Sanjay’s comments went beyond legitimate political criticism and encouraged divisive speech during the campaign.

The Congress leader further alleged that the Union Minister’s call for voters to cast their ballots based on religious identity violated election norms. He also claimed that Bandi Sanjay had encouraged voters to accept Rs.20,000 per vote from other parties and then support the BJP candidate instead — an act considered a grave offense under the Election Commission’s rules. The complaint urged strict disciplinary measures against the Minister for these alleged violations.

“Bandi Sanjay should be sacked from the Ministry for provoking and seeking votes on religious basis,” Rajesh Kumar demanded in his written representation. The TPCC asked the Election Commission to immediately investigate the remarks and take steps to ensure that the Election Code of Conduct is upheld in letter and spirit. The Jubilee Hills by-election has already witnessed a heated political atmosphere, with multiple parties trading allegations over communal campaigning and inducements to voters.
