Hyderabad, July 3: A group of Congress workers staged a protest outside Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, raising slogans of “Save the Congress Party” and expressing dissatisfaction over the functioning of the party in Chevella.
The protesters alleged that Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah was sidelining long serving Congress workers and failing to represent the party’s identity.

The workers claimed they had been associated with the Congress for many years but had not received proper recognition within the party. They alleged that senior party loyalists were being ignored in organisational activities.
#Workers are concerned that #KTR isn’t even saying which party he’s in, and he isn’t even bothering to cover up with a #Congressscarf at the very least.#Congress #GandhiBhavan #Hyderabad #Telangana #Politics #Protest #BRS #PoliticalNews #IndToday pic.twitter.com/OWc3AIFxK1

The protesters also alleged that Kale Yadaiah was not wearing the Congress scarf and was functioning without adequately involving long time party workers.
They demanded that the party leadership intervene and protect the interests of original Congress workers. The protesters urged the leadership to address their grievances and strengthen the party organisation.
There was no immediate response from Kale Yadaiah or the Telangana Congress leadership regarding the allegations at the time of publication.
