Continue Flood Relief After GHMC Polls Code: SEC
Hyderabad, Nov.18 (Maxim News): Even as long queues are formed at all mee-seva centers in the city, the State Election Commission (SEC) has issued orders against giving financial aid to people following GHMC polls code.
As the poll code for GHMC polls has come into force the state election Commission has directed the officials to stop giving Rs 10000 financial support to flood victims in the city. The SEC Partha Sarathi has issued orders in this regard stalling financial support to people affected by recent flash floods.
However the SEC has clarified that the same financial aid can be continued after the poll code.
The poll body has announced the GHMC polls schedule and its code has come into effect now which automatically stalls financial aid to anyone as it would influence the voters during poll time.
The GHMC polls will be held on December 1 and results to be announced after three days on December 4 after counting of the votes polled. The government has faced criticism by some of the rain victims that they did not get flood relief while many got.
Ministers offered the same to some victims and tried to pacify them by offering the same through mee -seva services.
Municipal minister KTR has asked the people to apply in mee- seva for flood relief which will be given after verification of details. (Maxim News)
