Corona: All Ready For Vaccine Dry Run In Adilabad
Adilabad: The Medical and Health Department has made elaborate arrangements for the dry run of vaccination for healthcare workers that will take place on Friday.
According to information provided by authorities of the department, the district has 6,245 workers working in 40 primary centres, community health centres and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (RIMS)-Adilabad. Of them, 300 healthcare workers will undergo the vaccination as part of the dry run.
As many as 150 officials of 30 government hospitals will be involved in administering the vaccine. A vaccinator and four vaccine officers are going to be deputed to discharge the job in a hospital. The vaccinators and officers were already trained twice. They were taught how to store the vaccine, distribution and tackling the technical glitches if arise during the programme.
Meanwhile, the required arrangements are in place for taking up the vaccination in Mancherial district. The vaccine will be administered to 625 healthcare workers of 25 primary health centres, community centres and area hospitals in the first phase of the drive. The centres account for 5,244 workers. A total of 25 workers will undergo the vaccination in every centre of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district as well.
Collector Musharraf Ali Faruqui instructed authorities of the department to keep 25 primary health centres and community health centres ready for conducting the exercise in Nirmal district. He told them to make the drive a success. He convened a meeting with a task force committee of Covid-19 pandemic on Thursday.
