Corona Cases Increase In Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat
Mumbai/Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): The Corona epidemic is raging again. Covid -19 cases are increasing rapidly in some Asian countries including Hong Kong and Singapore – Corona cases are also being registered in several states of India. These details have been revealed to the media by the authorities of the respective states.
Although the total number of cases is low compared to previous waves, the number of cases is increasing significantly in several cities in the country, including Mumbai, Chennai and Ahmedabad.

According to the Maharashtra health Department, 95 new cases have been reported in Mumbai so far in the current month of May. Since January, a total of 106 cases have been reported in Maharashtra. Experts say this is a significant increase. Currently, 16 Covid patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals in Maharashtra. The patients have been shifted from Chem Hospital to Seven Hills Hospital to prevent the spread of the infection.
On the other hand, Covid-19 tests are being conducted on patients suffering from influenza and respiratory infections in the Mumbai metropolis. Meanwhile, medical officials from Pune are acting on alert as a precautionary measure. 50 beds have been set up at Naidu Hospital. However, there are currently no active cases of coronavirus in government hospitals in the city. Pune Municipal Corporation health Department officer neena Borade said that an 87 year-old man recently tested positive, but he recovered with medical treatment. Neena said that no tests are currently being conducted in hospitals and they are waiting for central guidelines.
Recently, new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and kerala. Also, 12 new cases have been reported in Puducherry. Fevers caused by influenza are increasing in Chennai.
These are increasing the suspicion of corona infection. Currently, 16 active cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, while seven new cases have been reported in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. All of them are receiving treatment at home. Doctors have collected samples from them and sent them to the lab. Reports are awaited. (Maxim News)
