Corona: India Records 9,355 New Cases, 26 Deaths

Corona | Delhi/Hyderabad, April 27 (Maxim News): India records 9,355 new corona cases along with 26 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

It is known that 9,629 cases were registered yesterday. With the latest cases, the total number of people affected by Corona in the country is 4.49 crore and the number of active cases in the country is below 60 thousand.

Currently 57,410 cases are active, 4,43,35,977 people have recovered from the pandemic. 26 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours, the total number of Covid deaths has been recorded as 5,31,424. .

The Union ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 4.08 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 5.36 per cent. The average positivity rate for the week is 5.36 per cent.

The active cases now comprise 0.13 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid recovery rate has been recorded at 98.69 per cent, according to the ministry’s website.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has increased to 4,43,35,977. The case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.18 per cent.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Further, according to the bulletin, a total of 4,915 samples were tested for Covid over the last 24 hours while 1,320 patients recovered from the infection.

At present, the dominant variant of COVID-19 is Omicron XBB.1.16. Total of 877 cases were found to be infected with this variant which has claimed seven lives in the state so far. (Maxim News)
