Corona: Telangana Adds 965 New Cases, 5 Deaths
Telangana has recorded 965 new Covid-19 infections and five fatalities on Thursday
Hyderabad: Telangana added 965 new Corona infections and five fatalities on Thursday, taking the cumulative number of fatalities to 1706 while the total number of positive cases is 3, 09,741. As on Thursday, there were 6,159 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
Among the urban centres in Telangana, areas under GHMC have reported 254 new infections while Medchal-Malkajgiri has reported 110 Covid infections. Areas under Rangareddy district have reported 97 Covid infections while another 64 cases were reported from Nizamabad.
A total of 312 persons recovered on Thursday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 3, 01, 876 with a recovery rate of 97.46 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 93.7 percent.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, 59, 343 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1927 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 1,02,70,249 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 3,09,741 have tested positive and 3,01,876 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 18 from Adilabad, seven from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 254 from areas under GHMC, 35 from Jagtiyal, 11 from Jangaon, seven from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, six from Jogulamba Gadwal, 15 from Kamareddy, 29 from Karimnagar, 22 from Khammam, five from Asifabad, 18 from Mahabubnagar, seven from Mahabubabad, 15 from Mancherial, eight from Medak, 110 from Medchal Malkajgiri, one from Mulugu, eight from Nagarkurnool, 24 from Nalgonda, five from Narayanpet, 39 from Nirmal, 64 from Nizamabad, 12 from Peddapalli, 14 from Rajanna Siricilla, 97 from Rangareddy, 29 from Sangareddy, 18 each from Siddipet and Suryapet, 20 from Vikarabad, eight from Wanaparthy, seven from Warangal Rural, 19 Warangal Urban and 15 from Yadadri Bhongir.
