Coronavirus: Active Case Rise To 4,866, Seven Deaths
Delhi/Hyderabad, June 5 (Maxim News): Coronavirus cases are increasing in the country. In the last 24 hours, 1,238 new cases were registered and seven people died. The number of active cases in the country has reached 4,866. three people have died due to Covid-19 in Maharashtra, two in Delhi and two in Karnataka.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 114 new cases were reported in Kerala on Wednesday. The highest number of cases in the country were reported in Karnataka, West Bengal and Delhi. The Centre will conduct a Covid mock drill across the country today (Thursday).
To this end, the Union Health Ministry will inspect the preparedness of hospitals in all states.
Medical officials will review the supply of oxygen and necessary medicines. They will also assess the availability of ventilators in major hospitals in the country. Doctors say the NB.1.8.1 sub-variant of the Omicron variant is responsible for the increase in Covid019 cases. (Maxim News)
