Court Dismissed Tollywood Drug Cases Due To Lack Of Evidence

Hyderabad, Feb 1, (Maxim News): The Tollywood drugs case, which created a sensation in Telugu states, has taken a turning point. The Nampally court dismissed the cases registered in 2017. The state government has set up a special investigation team (SIT) into the drug scandal in the Telugu film industry. The SIT registered a total of 12 cases and filed a charge sheet in eight cases. Six of those cases were dismissed by the court due to lack of proper evidence.

The bench made it clear that the procedure to be followed in the drug case was not followed and there was no evidence or evidence in six cases.

Tollywood actors have been interrogated by excise officials for months in connection with these cases.  Their mobile phones were confiscated. Samples of nails and hair were taken from the actors and sent to FSL. Among them, the FSL examined only the samples of Puri Jagannath and said that no traces of drugs were found in their bodies. Based on this report, the court, after examining the evidence, dismissed 6 cases and issued a verdict today. (Maxim News)
