Court Reserved Judgement On Kavitha’s Custody

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 12 (Maxim News): CBI has arrested BRS MLC Kavitha, who was arrested in Tihar jail in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Case. The CBI revealed that Kavitha was arrested on Thursday evening, April 11, on Friday morning, CBI officials produced her in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. CBI’s lawyer requested the court to remand Kavitha for 5 days.

Kavitha’s lawyers argued in court on her arrest. While in judicial custody, an arrest cannot be made without the permission of the Court. The CBI officials said that the rules were not followed. However, the CBI officials said that the information was given a day before the arrest. She informed her husband on the phone.

After hearing the arguments of both sides. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court reserved judgment on Kavitha’s custody. The Judge made it clear that CBI’s arrest of Kavitha was right. The Court said that she was informed earlier. The Judge said that the matter of permission is within his purview. He said not to comment on it again.  The court said custody judgment will be announced at 2 pm today.  (Maxim News)
