Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have been seeing a consistent fall for the last two weeks. According to health, bulletin released a short while ago on Wednesday, about 60,726 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where 831 new Coronavirus positive cases were reported taking the total number of cases across the state to 8,64,674 and six people have been died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 6962.
The health bulletin says that the recovery rate also been increased with as many as 1,176 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of recovered cases to 8,45,039 while 12,673 are being treated at the various hospitals. The district-wise number of cases registered in the last 24 hours was 145 in Krishna followed by 90 in Guntur, 126 in East Godavari district, 135 in West Godavari, 74 in Chittoor district, 37 in Kadapa, 51 in Nellore, 12 in Prakasam, 58 in Visakhapatnam, 23 in Srikakulam, 34 in Anantapur, 18 in Vizianagaram, 28 in Kurnool district respectively.
Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,21,970 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 91,925 cases while Chittoor district has 83,342 cases. The state has conducted 97,88,047 tests overall. As far as deaths, two people died in Krishna district, one each in Chittoor, East Godavari, Guntur and West Godavari.
