COVID-19: Telangana Records 1,058 Cases, 4 Deaths

Telangana recorded 1,058 fresh coronavirus cases and four deaths until 8 pm on Wednesday taking the total tally to 2,60,834 and fatalities to 1,419. The recovery count went up to 2,46,733 with the recovery of 1,440 persons in a single day. Currently, there are 12,682 active cases out of which 10,352 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, around 38,757 tests were conducted including 17,053 on primary contacts and 4,650 are on secondary contacts. However, the reports of 1,058 turned negative and the results of 542 are awaited. So far, 50,11,164 tests have been conducted in the state.

The positive cases reported in the state include 168 from GHMC, 93 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 91 from Rangareddy, 58 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 53 from Karimnagar, 47 from Sangareddy, 43 from Nalgonda, 37 each from Mancherial and Nagarkurnool, 36 each from Khammam and Jagtial, 35 each from Warangal Urban and Suryapet, 30 from Rajanna Sircilla, 29 from Siddipet, 25 from Peddapalli, 24 from Vikarabad, 18 from Kamareddy, 17 each from Medak and Yadadri Bhongir, 16 each from Jangaon and Nizamabad, 15 each from Mulugu and Wanaparthy, 13 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 9 each from Nirmal, Warangal Rural and Mahabubabad, 8 from Mahabubnagar, 7 from Narayanpet, 6 from Komarambheem Asifabad and 4 from Adilabad.
