Covid-19: Telangana Records 1842 cases, 6 deaths

Out of the 22,919 active Covid-19 positive patients, 16,482 patients were under home isolation while 6,437 positive cases were in institutional care.

Hyderabad: Telangana records 1842 new Corona Virus infections and six fatalities till Sunday, taking the overall toll to 761 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 1,06,091. The total active cases as on Sunday night in the State was 22,919.

On Sunday a total of 1,825 persons recovered, taking the overall number of recoveries in the State to 82,411 with a recovery rate of 77.67 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate was 74.90 per cent.

Health officials conducted 36,282 #Covid19 tests between Saturday and Sunday while reports of another 895 swab samples were awaited. So far, 9,68,121 samples were tested in the State. According to the health bulletin, the mortality rate in the State is 0.71 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.86 per cent.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 23 from Adilabad, 37 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 373 from areas under the GHMC, 70 from Jagtiyal, 24 from Jangaon, one from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 33 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 20 from Kamareddy, 134 from Karimnagar, 77 from Khammam, five from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 42 from Mahabubnagar, 64 from Mahabubabad, 59 from Mancherial, 13 from Medak, 32 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 32 from Nagarkurnool, 47 from Nalgonda, four from Narayanpet, 10 from Nirmal, 158 from Nizamabad, 44 from Peddapally, 13 from Rajanna Sircilla, 109 from Rangareddy, 50 from Sangareddy, 86 from Siddipet, 113 from Suryapet, 11 from Vikarabad, 50 from Wanaparthy, eight from Warangal Rural, 74 from Warangal Urban and 14 from Yadadri Bhongir.
