CPI Leader Brands Govt As Ruthless Towards Agitators
Hyderabad, Oct.28 (Maxim News): CPI State leader Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao on Monday alleged that the State government was ruthlessly against those who are holding peaceful protests with a demand to solve their problems.
Rao made these remarks while talking to media persons at the NIMS Hospital here. Rao, who has been on fast-unto-death in support of the ongoing agitation by TSRTC crew at the party headquarters, was arrested by the Narayanguda Police in the middle of the night after busting his strike program. He was later taken to NIMS Hospital for treatment in emergency ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Koonamneni said he would not stop his protest until the State government fulfilled all the demands of the RTC workers. He declined to take medical treatment at the hospital to continue his fast there.
Recalling that he gave moral support to KCR when he was brought to Khammam district during separate Telangana agitation as an MLA, Rao said it was not good on the part of KCR, who came from the background of agitation to do injustice to the RTC workers. (Maxim News)
