CPI Urges KCR To Concede Demands Of TSRTC Employees

Hyderabad, Oct.6 (Maxim News): CPI State Secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy today advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to concede TSRTC merger and other demands of the striking employees.

TSRTC Employees’ Unions’ JAC president Ashwadhama Reddy today sought support of the CPI to their protest at Dharna Chowk on Monday as part of the ongoing strike for merger of the RTC into government. He met the CPI leader at CPI State party office and sought support to their strike. After patient hearing, Venkat Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao should resolve the issue by holding talks with the employees’ unions’ leaders. There was no use of dragging the problem and on humanitarian grounds, the government should hold talks, he said

The CPI leader asked the KCR government to emulate Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh, which merged the APSRTC into that State. “It is unfair for the Telangana government for buying time in this regard. Delay will cause hardship to people and losses to the TSRTC”, the CPI leader said. He also asked the TRS Government to immediately resolve the crisis and protect the interests of the staff, who put forth 26 demands to be addressed. (Maxim News)
