CPM Candidate To File Nomination In Huzurnagar
Hyderabad, Sept.29 (Maxim News): The CPM on Sunday announced the name of party leader Palempally Shekar as its candidate from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in the ensuing by-election.
Speaking on the occasion, CPM State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said the result of the by-election would not have any effect on the existence of the State government, but it would lead to a kind of discussion across the State. Admitting that the CPM was weakened due to increased use of money in politics, Thammineni said the absence of Communists in the legislative bodies was clearly felt in the State. He said discussions on any topic used to be meaningful when their party members were present in the House.
He said his party candidate would file nomination on Monday with a massive rally. He said they held discussions with the TJS, the TDP and the CPI on the issue and disclosed that TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu told him that they would contest the election independently. Former MLA J. Ranga Reddy said there would be scope for discussing on any issue in the House if they have representation in the House. He urged the people of Huzurnagar to vote for their party candidate.
