CPM will not contest in Munugodu by-election: Tammineni

Hyderabad, Aug.21 (Maxim News): CPI(M) State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Sunday informed that his party would not be contesting in the ensuing Munugodu by-election and however, it would extend its support to those who are fighting against the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP).

Speaking to the media here, Tammineni Veerabhadram said the CPM would convene its party meeting soon and take a decision on to whom the support should be extended.

The CPM leader said that his party was working against the lopsided policies of BJP government at the Centre and it would extend its support to those parties who fight against the BJP.

“Our aim is to isolate and defeat the BJP by mobilising democratic and secular forces.

The party will work for the defeat of BJP in the ensuing election by supporting parties which oppose the saffron party,”Tammineni said. (Maxim News)
