Cracked Ground Everywhere; Collapsed Bridges: Earthquake In Myanmar

Naypyidaw/Internet/Hyderabad, Mar 28 (Maxim News): A massive earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale has shaken Myanmar. Tremors have shaken many cities in Myanmar, including Sagaing, Mandalay, Kyouktaw, Pyin Oo Lwin, and Shwe Bo. The earthquake caused cracks in some areasIn other areas, large buildings and bridges were leveled to the ground. Tall buildings in Myanmar have collapsed due to the earthquake. Myanmar is shaking like a twig after a very powerful earthquake.

The historic Mandalay Palace in mandalay was severely damaged. Also, a bridge in Sagaing Township in Sagaing Region collapsed completely. Eyewitnesses said that the historic Mandalay Palace in Mandalay were severely damaged. Meanwhile, a bridge in Sagaing Township in Sagaing Region was completely destroyed in the earthquake. Other nearby towns such as Kyaw Kyaw, Pyin Oo Lwin, and Shwe Bo were also shaken by the earthquake. Videos of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Myanmar have gone viral on social media.

In these videos, tall buildings and bridges are seen collapsing within minutes. People are seen running on the roads in panic as a massive earthquake strikes, not understanding what is happening. The Myanmar government has been alerted in the wake of the massive earthquake. It has taken relief measures on a war footing. It seems that there has been a huge loss of property and lives. The Myanmar government has not officially given clarity on the figures related to the loss of property and lives.

The Myanmar government announced that the earthquake occurred at 12.20 pm on March 28, 2025. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers under the earth, centered on the town of Mandalay. Since the epicenter was located at a depth of oly 10 kilometers under the earth, the intensity was very high.  

According to the Myanmar government’s estimate, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reported that the earthquake intensity was recorded as 7.7 on the Richter scale. The earthquake is said to be very severe and dangerous. This is likely to cause significant damage to property and lives.
