CS Sanctions Rs 603 Cr For Greenery In Telangana
Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar informed that the Telangana Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) steering committee approved the annual plan of operation 2020-21 for Rs.603.00 crores to take up compensatory afforestation activities in the State.
Today, Telangana CAMPA 6th steering committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary at BRKR Bhavan. The Chief Secretary said that the committee has approved works under various components like Compensatory Afforestation (CA) including spill over, Catchment Area Treatment (CAT), Integrated Wild Life Management Plan (IWLM), Net Present Value (NPV)including spill over etc.
As per the directions of the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to concentrate on the development of Urban Forest Blocks to increase dense forest cover and rejuvenation of forests in the Sate.
