CS Stress To Generate More Revenue from Excise and Commercial Tax
Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Telangana asked the officials of Excise and Commercial Tax departments to put more efforts in the ensuing three months in order to achieve greater tax realization for the State government.
Today Employees of Commercial Tax and Excise department met the Chief Secretary to extend New Year greetings at BRKR Bhavan. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary congratulated the officials of the department for working together as a cohesive, well knit team and for helping secure higher revenues for the State. Further, he appealed to the employees to work even harder in the coming year and requested them to whole heartedly re-dedicate themselves towards ensuring economic buoyancy of the State.
New Prohibition and Excise stations:
He further informed that the Government has taken the historic and unprecedented decision of creating 131 posts in different categories and sanctioned 14-new Prohibition and Excise stations in the Excise department. Similarly, the Government has also created 161 posts in different categories and sanctioned 18 new Commercial Taxes Circles in the Commercial Taxes department. Similarly many posts were upgraded increasing promotional avenues. He hoped that this departmental reorganization shall help secure career progression for the employees thereby bringing them greater job satisfaction.
Promotions:
Consequently, the process to give promotions in the departments has already been initiated. Many employees are expected to get promotions in the new year on account of this departmental reorganization. (Maxim News)
