CS Tells Officials To Bring Back 130 NIT Students From Srinagar Safely

Hyderabad, Aug.3 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Dr S K Joshi today said all the 130 students studying in National Institute of Technology at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir will be brought back safely to State. He directed the officials concerned to take immediate steps and shift them to Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi and from there to Hyderabad in a train.

According to an official release, the Chief Secretary said the students have urged former minister KT Rama Rao to help them return home safely as the situation in Srinagar was causing concern and the former minister KTR instructed the officials concerned to take necessary steps. In view of the tension situation prevailing in Jammu & Kashmir, the Telugu students sought help of the State government for safe return. In turn, the State government has made necessary arrangements so that they can reach their native places safely.

Joshi instructed the officials to bring all the students to the State. He informed that the Telangana Resident Commissioner has arranged buses to bring back all the students from Jammu to Delhi, from where they will be brought to Hyderabad by a train, he said. In this connection, the Telangana Resident Commissioner held a meeting with the Jammu & Kashmir officials.

They have also spoken to the Jammu Divisional Commissioner for safe transport of the students. He said the students are in touch with the Telangana Bhavan officials over phone. They have already left Srinagar for Jammu and from Delhi, the students will reach Hyderabad through a train. (Maxim News)
