Cyberabad Police Arrested Dacoit Gang Rs 55 Lakhs Stolen Goods Recovered

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested a nine-member dacoit gang involved in several property offences here on Wednesday. Police recovered material worth Rs 55 lakh, a firearm and other material. Two receivers were also held.

The arrested persons were Pradeep Kushwaha, Kuldeep, Madhav Singh, Dharmender Singh, Nihal Singh, Shailendra Singh, Sanjay, Dharmendra Kumar and Satybhan Singh. The receivers were identified as Manish Kumar and Govula Vijay Kumar.

Police said the kingpin Pradeep Kushwaha along with his associates procured a car and conducted recces of residential areas in Shankarpally, Mokila, Kondakal, Narsing, Mallampet and RC Puram under the guise of asking for employment at construction sites.

“They returned in the night with weapons including a pistol, sticks and ropes and entered the site by jumping the compound wall. If security guardsw resisted, they threatened them with the firearm and steal electrical material and other valuables from the site, ” police said.

They later sold the stolen material in electrical shops or scrap shops and shared the money. All the suspects were from Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, police said.
