Daggubati, Son Meet Jagan—Joining YSRCP
Hyderabad, Jan.27 (Maxim News): Putting an end to speculation that was doing rounds in the Andhra Pradesh political circles for quite sometime now, Daggupati Venkateswars Rao, former minister and son-in-law of Telugu Desam Party founder N T Rama Rao, today called on YSR Congress party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and held discussions with him on joining the party.
Daggubati, along with his son Hitesh Chenchuram, met Jagan at the latter’s residence here. Speaking to the media later, Rao said they have decided to work with the YSRC, and Jagan has welcomed their decision. He said that they discussed with Jan on Hitesh joining the party. He appreciated Jagan for running the party for the last eight years.
In reply to a question, Daggubati made it clear that his wife Prandareswari, BJP leader and BJP Mahila Morcha chief, will not join YSRCP but continue in the BJP. The BJP leadership has advised her to continue in the party. There was no possibility of her shifting loyalties. If necessary, she might keep away from politics, it is learnt.
Daggubati flayed the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, saying that the administration in Andhra Pradesh has gone out of track. There is opposition from the people to the TDP Government. While contending that there was no money, the Chief Minister was spend ding money on ‘deekshas’. He also said that he had never seen the peculiar situation of a Government giving post-dated cheques (to be beneficiaries).
It is learnt YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy played a crucial role in bringing the father and son into the YSRC fold.(Maxim News)
