The ACB registered a case against the Formula-E race, in which the name of BRS Working President K. Taram Rama Rao was included as A-1, and the party MLAs protested in the Legislative Assembly. They insisted on a discussion on the Formula-E race issue. With this, Speaker Prasad Kumar addressed the BRS members and told them to decide later as the government was ready to discuss the Bhu Bharati Bill. He commented that the Formula E-race issue was related to an individual and the Bhu Bharati Bill belonged to the state’s people. In this sequence, the BRS members tried to rush towards the Speaker’s podium. They were stopped by the marshal. With this, several BRS MLAs tore papers and threw them at the Speaker. At the same time, some Congress members tore papers and threw them at the BRS causing a huge commotion in the House.
Earlier, BRS MLA Harish Rao expressed his anger over the government’s behavior. “An illegal case was filed against an MLA during the assembly. They are trying to embarrass BRS by defaming KTR. Various leaks are being released on this issue. We have done nothing wrong. We have decided on the Formula-E race to increase the state’s revenue. They are saying that we have made a mistake. We should discuss this in the House and say what the mistake was. If it is not an illegal case, then it should be discussed in the House immediately. KTR said that we have not done anything wrong. If a clear assurance is given in this matter, we will cooperate,” said Harish Rao. (Maxim News)
