Delhi Elections 2025: BJP Releases First List

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 5 (Maxim News): The BJP has released its first list for the Delhi Assembly elections. It has announced a total of 29 names. Parvesh Verma is going to contest against AAP convener and former CM Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency on behalf of the BJP. Also, the BJP has fielded Ramesh Biduri to contest against Chief Minister Atishi from Kalkaji.

There have been speculations since the beginning that Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdev will not contest these elections. Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that his name is not on the first list.

Two women have been given a place on the first list. Rekha Gupta and Sushri Kumari Rinkulam have been given a chance with the first list of the BJP.

It is known that former Delhi Minister Kailash Gehlot joined the BJP in November last year, Kailash, who contested and won from the Najafgarh constituency in the last two elections, is going to contest from Bijwasan on behalf of the BJP this time.

It is also known that Arvinder Singh Lovely, who worked as a minister in Sheila Dikshit’s cabinet for ten years, joined the BJP last year. He is going to contest from East Delhi Gandhinagar in these elections.

There are a total of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly. It is known that the AAP has already announced candidates for all the seats. The current Delhi Assembly is the seventh.
