Delhi HC Issues Notices To 23 People Including Kavitha, Kejriwal And Sisodia In Liquor Scam

Delhi / Hyderabad, Mar 9 (Maxim News) : The Delhi High Court issued notices to 23 people in the Delhi liquor scam case. The list includes Arvind Kejriwal, K Kavitha and Manish Sisodia. The court asked all respondents to file their replies in the CBI case.

The development marks a key turn in the Delhi liquor scam case. The Central Bureau of Investigation challenged a recent order of the Rouse Avenue Court. The lower court had granted relief to the accused in the case.

The CBI filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against that order. The High Court heard the matter on Monday. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta presented arguments for the CBI during the hearing.

During the hearing, the Delhi High Court stayed certain remarks made by the special court against the investigating agency. The High Court also reviewed the arguments related to the lower court order.

Meanwhile, the court asked the accused to respond to the CBI’s appeal. Therefore, notices went to 23 people linked to the case. The list includes Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, BRS leader K Kavitha and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.

The High Court also issued directions regarding the trial process. It advised the trial court to postpone proceedings in the Enforcement Directorate case for now.

Later, the High Court adjourned the hearing for one week. The court will take up the matter again next Monday. Until then, the respondents must prepare their replies to the CBI petition.
