Delhi, Jammu And Kashmir Shook By Earthquake

Delhi/Hyderabad, June 13 (Maxim News) The Capital city of Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and other northern parts of the country were shaken today afternoon.

The magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck about 30 km southeast of Kitwar in Jammu and Kashmir. The details were given by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The quake struck 99 km north of Pathankot in Punjab and its epicenter was 60 km underground. There is no information about any loss of life or property due to this earthquake which occurred at 1.30 pm on Tuesday.

Earlier, the National Center for Seismology reported that a magnitude 3.7 earthquake hit Myanmar at 2.53 am on Tuesday. This epicenter is located 10 km deep inside the earth. A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on May 31 as well. (Maxim News)
