Delhi L-G Can Now Constitute Any Authority: Centre’s Sensational Decision
Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): The Central government has given complete authority to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. A decision was taken by providing power to establish any commission and board in Delhi. With this, the Center said in a notification that the Delhi LG can appoint members to any commissions like the Delhi Women’s Commission and the Electricity Regulatory Commission.

The Delhi Government has issued a notification under Article 239 Clause 1 of the Constitution of the National Capital Territory Act.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena appointed the presiding officers for the MCD Ward Committee elections immediately after the publication of the gazette. But Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi condemned the decision. (Maxim News)
