Delhi Liquor Scam: Kavitha’s Partner Pillai’s Custody Extended Till March 16
Delhi/Hyderabad, March 13 (Maxim News) Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has extended the custody of BRS MLC Kavitha’s partner Arun Ramachandra Pillai who is accused in the Delhi Liquor Scam case for another three days till March 16. The Court sent Pillai to ED custody.
The ED filed a petition in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court to extend Pillai’s custody. During the investigation, the ED made key comments against Pillai. In the Delhi Liquor case, BRS MLC alleged that Pillai retracted his statement after giving notice to Kavitha. It is said that there is evidence of CCTV footage regarding Pillai’s statement. She said that Pillai was not pressured or threatened during the investigation.
Ed officials told the court that Pillai gave a statement on September 18, 2022. It is said that Pillai conformed the details related to the Kavitha in the second and third statements as well. The Ed officials said that they understood why Pillai changed his statement.
The ED has ordered BRS MLC kavitha, who has already faced trial in the Delhi liquor scam case to appear for trial again on march 16. ED will interrogate Kavitha’s former auditor Buchibabu on March 15 in the same case. (Maxim News)
