Speaking during the Zero Hour of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Alleti Maheshwar Reddy drew the government’s attention to the hardships faced by Gulf workers and their families. He suggested that the state should take institutional responsibility for supporting victims and returnees, as many families continue to struggle without proper assistance.

The BJP leader also raised issues related to development and welfare at the local level. He said that funds are not reaching villages and schools, and alleged that promises made earlier to activists have not been fulfilled so far. He urged the government to review the status of these assurances and take immediate corrective steps.

Scholarships and GHMC re division raised

Alleti Maheshwar Reddy further demanded the immediate release of pending scholarship and fee reimbursement arrears, stating that students are being affected due to delays. He said the issue has been continuing for a long time and needs urgent intervention from the government to ensure that eligible students are not deprived of their benefits.

Raising concerns over urban governance, he said there are fluctuations in the percentage of voters in some divisions following the GHMC re division. He expressed apprehension that such variations could create imbalance and confusion. Therefore, he asked the government to reconsider these divisions and examine the voter distribution carefully.
