Dengue Cases Surge By 10 Times In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): Dengue cases are increasing day by day in Telangana state.  From one-month-old children to elderly people are affected by dengue, and due to this, the people are queuing up at hospitals.  

In the month of August 2023, 1,171 cases were reported in Hyderabad alone. 164 more cases were reported compared to the previous month.  A total of 2,972 dengue cases have been reported in Telangana from January to the end of August 2023.  This is a sharp increase from the 961 cases registered till the end of July, 1,582 cases have been registered in the Greater Hyderabad region. so it can be understood how the situation is.

The state government is taking all measures to deal with dengue cases. Especially in government hospitals, the medical staff are doing medical tests first to identify those who come with fever. After that, according to the medical examination reports, the patients are being treated. However, doctors say that dengue cases increase during the rainy season. A senior official of the health department said that all government hospitals are ready to deal with dengue cases.

GHMC officials have taken measures to prevent dengue cases in Greater Hyderabad. Fogging is being done in slums and colonies.  doctors suggest not to self-medicate if you have symptoms of dengue. It is advised to go to the nearest government or private hospital and see the doctors.  Timely treatment gives better results.  

There are many reasons for the rise in dengue cases especially in Greater Hyderabad. Dengue cases are increasing exponentially due to the stagnant water on the roads and construction sites of the city, creating a habitat for mosquitoes. Due to the rains, water has entered into the houses. Due to a lack of sanitation, dengue-causing mosquitoes have increased.  Doctors say that people are suffering from viral fever due to this.  

SYMPTOMS OF DENGUE

Dengue fever is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes. Mainly transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.  Symptoms of dengue infection include high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, rash, and flu.  symptoms of dengue infection include high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, rash, and flu.  In severe cases, dengue can lead to hemorrhagic fever.  Doctors claim that this is a life-threatening condition.

We should make sure that mosquitoes do not grow in the areas where we live.  Mosquitoes breed in standing water.  Make sure that water does not accumulate in flowerpots, buckets, etc.  Also, to reduce the threat of mosquitoes, do not store any water in the vicinity of the house.  The environment should be kept clean especially to prevent the spread of mosquitoes.
