Deputy CM Flags Off 22 New Electric Buses

Hyderabad, March 12 (Maxim News): 22 new electric buses have been made available in TSRTC. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka along with the Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy waved the flag in a program organized at Necklace Road in Hyderabad.

All 500 buses which are being taken on a rental basis will arrive by August. All these are non-AC buses. Authorities say that the buses are replacing the old metro Express.

Women can travel free in these buses by showing their Aadhaar card. They run in all parts of the city. 33 KV power lines have been taken at BHEL, Miyapur, Cantonment, HCU, and Raniganj depots for charging.

On the other hand, TSRTC is supplying 565 diesel buses on its own. It has 125 metro deluxes. All these will be available in June.

Out of another 440 buses, 300 are Metro Express and 140 are ordinary buses. All these buses have free travel for women. (Maxim News)
