Despite Heavy Rains, No Flooding Problem In Hyderabad Due To SNDP: KTR 

Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News): The SNDP implemented during the BRS government can effectively deal with disasters if there is a vision. Former Minister of Municipal Department KT. Rama Rao (KTR) revealed that the program proved it. Even though it has been raining incessantly in Hyderabad for the last two or three days, S.N.D.P. He reminded me that it played a vital role. It has been clarified that the Strategic Canal Development Program (SNDP) has been taken up under the municipal department as per the directives of Chief Minister KCR in the past to prevent the threat of flood due to heavy rains in Hyderabad, which is the economic engine of Telangana.

He reminded us that when there were heavy rains and floods during the union state, the low-lying areas of Hyderabad would be flooded and the flood water would enter the houses in the colonies and the life of the poor and middle-class people would not become completely chaotic. SNDP is part of the idea of finding a permanent solution to this crucial problem. It is said that it is bubbling. He said that the flood threat has been averted today due to the completion of 60 works worth 985 crores to strengthen the flood water and sewage system in the state capital. Even if there is not a single paisa contribution from the central government. SNDP is funded by the entire state government. It has been revealed that undertaking work is another specialty.

He said that the development works of 36 important canals, which overflow with little rain, have been taken up quickly. SNDP said that despite the recent heavy rain in the capital, flood water did not stop in the previously flooded areas. He said that it is a great satisfaction that the people of the respective areas are expressing the same thing with joy. He said that when the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad was in the past, the floodwater canals and sewage canals were combined and the whole system was bad. As part of the SNDP program, along with the restoration of damaged old canals, the construction of new canals has been completed on a war footing.
