Devendra Fadnavis Is The New Maharashtra CM

Mumbai/Hyderabad, Dec 4 (Maxim News): The stalemate over government formation in Maharashtra has finally come to an end. The name of senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has been finalized as the next Chief Minister of the state.

Related sources revealed that when Fadnavis’s name was proposed in the BJP core committee meeting held today, it was unanimously approved. They said that he will take oath as Maharashtra CM on December 5.

BJP’s legislative party meeting was held at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai. Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani who are central observers attended this meeting.  They discussed the choice of CM with party MLAs. Later Devendra Fadnavis was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP Legislative party.

The swearing-in-ceremony will be held at Azad Maidan on Thursday. Key leaders of NDA including Prime Minister Modi will be present.  Along with Fadnavis as CM, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar will take oath as Deputy Chief Ministers, there is no official announcement on this yet.
