Digital Pattadar Passbook valid for all official purposes

  • Government approves digital pattadar passbook under Section 10(6) of Bhubharati Act
  • Farmers can download certified digital copies for schemes and verification through portal

Digital Pattadar Passbook | Hyderabad, Oct. 28: The Telangana government has clarified that the digital version of the pattadar passbook is now legally valid for all government-related purposes.

Officials stated that the digital copy of the passbook, available through the Bhubharati-2025 (ROR) portal, will serve as an officially recognized document under Section 10(6) of the Bhubharati Act.

This move aims to address delays caused by printing issues and ensure easy access for landowners.

Due to technical and contractual delays in printing physical copies, the distribution of pattadar passbooks has been pending.

The printing process, earlier handled by a Chennai-based firm assigned by the Revenue Department, came to a halt after the agreement ended in July this year.

Since then, no new printing contract has been finalized. Consequently, the government has advised landholders to download digitally signed copies from the Bhubharati portal and use them for all official applications, including government scheme registrations.

Officials confirmed that the digitally signed version carries full legal validity and can be used across government departments just like the physical pattadar passbook.

The initiative aims to ease farmers’ access to crucial land-related documents and reduce dependency on printed copies.

To obtain the digital passbook, users can visit the Bhubharati portal online. They must go to the “Land Details Search” section and enter their pattadar passbook number, followed by the first four digits of their Aadhaar number.

After entering the captcha code and submitting the details, the Digital Pattadar Passbook and the ROR-Pahani documents will appear on the screen. Users can then print these documents and use them for official work.

Likewise, to check specific land details, users can search by survey number or sub-division number after providing their district, mandal, and village names.

The portal then displays complete ownership and land information. For those without internet access, services are also available through MeeSeva centers statewide.

Officials also confirmed that all government departments have been instructed to accept the digital version as valid documentation.

Awareness programs are being conducted to ensure citizens are informed about the availability and legal acceptance of digital pattadar passbooks.
