“Digitalization, New Media and Video Game Culture”: International Conference begins at MANUU

 Hyderabad: “The effects of digital revolution and its importance cannot be ignored, however its positive and negative effects depends on its usage”, said  Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today while delivering presidential address in the inaugural of two day International Conference on “Digitalization, New Media and Video Game Culture”. The conference is being organized by the  Department of Economics, MANUU in collaboration with IEEE Task Force in Gamification Research and Education, Argentina; International Sociological Association and Indian Sociological Society.

Prof. Ainul Hasan also released the book which was compiled by Prof. Farida Siddiqui and Dr. Taha on the occasion.

Prof. Farida Siddiqui, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences briefed about the conference and said that the purpose of this conference is to introduce economic dimensions and methods in the digital revolution. It is necessary to consider the positive and negative effects of overcoming the challenges encountered in it.

Prof. Danish Moin, Head, Department of History, MANUU and Prof. Abdul Mateen, former Head, Department of Sociology, Aligarh Muslim University, gave their comments on the book. Later, online and offline papers were presented in the technical session. Dr. Khwaja Mohd Ziyauddin delivered the welcome address and Dr. Syed Hasan Qayed proposed a vote of thanks.
