Digvijay Singh interacts with Muslim leaders
Hyderabad, February 20 (Maxim News): AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday held an interactive meeting with eminent personalities of Muslim community.
Several religious, social and political personalities met Digvijay Singh at a breakfast meeting hosted by GHCC Minorities Department Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail at his residence in Bazar Ghat on Monday morning.
AICC Secretary R.C. Khuntia, TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, ex-PCC presidents V. Hanumantha Rao and Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi, former Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha, MLA G.Chinna Reddy, MLC M. Ranga Reddy, ex-MPs M. Anjan Kumar Yadav and Madhu Yashki Goud, ex-minister Danam Nagender, TPCC Minorities Dept chairman Khaja Fakhruddin, Mahila Congress chief Nerella Sharada, Chief Spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan, TPCC Spokespersons Syed Nizamuddin and Addanka Dayakar, ex-MLA Mallareddy Rangareddy, Dr. P. Vinay Kumar, Dr. Shravan Kumar, Kayam Mallesh, ex-Corporator Mohammed Ghouse, Sajid Shareef and other senior leaders were present in the breakfast meeting.
Eminent personalities including Jamiatul Ulema leader Afzal Shareef, Tahreek Muslim Shabban president Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik, Shia cleric Moulana Murtuza Pasha Moosavi, Moulana Nisar Hussain Agha, Popular Front of India leader Moulana Rafeeq, Moulana Tariq Quadri of HAS India, and other leaders interacted with the Congress leader on issues concerning Muslim community. The leaders also interacted on the possible outcome of ongoing Assembly elections.
Speaking to Muslim leaders, Digvijay Singh appealed them not to trust Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He said that KCR was not serious in giving promised 12% reservation in jobs and education to Muslim community in Telangana State. He said that the TRS Government did not fulfill a single promise which he made with the Muslims and other communities during elections. He said that the Congress party would soon launch a massive awareness campaign to expose the lies of KCR towards Muslims.
The guests were served with popular delicacies of Hyderabad including ‘Marag’, ‘Haleem’ and ‘Kaddu Ki Kheer’.
