District Election Officer R V Karnan At Inauguration Of MCMC And Media Center
Hyderabad, October 08, (Maxim News): District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan has clarified that MCMC permission must be sought for political campaign advertisements in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.
District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan inaugurated the MCMC and Media Center in the CPRO section at the GHMC headquarters.
District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan said that permission should be sought from the MCMC committee from the release of the election schedule for advertisements in electronic media, local cable, social media, e-paper, radio, and other online and electronic media.
Regarding advertisements in print media, MCMC permission is mandatory for campaign advertisements on the eve of polling and on polling day.
Political parties, contesting candidates, and their agents are also required to apply to MCMC for advertisements.
The District Election Officer has advised that the election code of conduct must be followed when the publisher’s name, address, handbill and other documents are printed on pamphlets printed by the printing press.

District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan instructed the PRO department officials to provide regular information to media representatives regarding the conduct of the elections through the media center.

Returning Officer P. Sai Ram, GHMC Deputy Engineer (IT Wing – Social Media) Narsing Rao, Hyderabad PIB Deputy Director, Manasa Krishna Kant and Indian Express Daily Principal Correspondent Bachanjeet Singh are members of the committee.
As per the guidelines of the Central Election Commission, the MCMC committee will monitor the news, advertisements, and paid news published in the media during the election period.
Additional Election Commissioner Hemant Keshav Patil, Vigilance ASP, MCC Nodal Officer Narasimha Reddy, PRO Mamindla Dasharatham, and committee members participated in the inaugural program. (Maxim News)
