Hyderabad, Dec.13 (Maxim News): On the second day of protest against liquor sales at Indira Park, BJP leader DK Aruna slammed the State government for rape and murder cases on women and girls. She demanded that the State government to ban liquor and protect lives of the women and girls. Citing Disha, Unnav cases, the former minister attributed them to liquor use.
“Many families in the State and across the country were getting devastated due to consumption of liquor”, she deplored. BC leader R Krishnaiah flayed the government for relying on the income from belt and wine shops leading to crimes and accidents. He demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ban the liquor sale. He also asked the Chief Minister to keep his promise of distributing three acres land to the Dalits, housing and pension to poor, he added.
