Does TRS Lacks Efficient Leaders To Woo Oppn MLAs: Ponnam

Hyderabad, Dec.23 (Maxim News): TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday questioned the TRS MPs for their silence on Rafale scam. He alleged that the TRS MPs were raising their voice on promises in State Reorganization Act but keeping mum on the Rafale scam.

Addressing the media at Karimnagar, Prabhakar said there was a need on the part of the Union government to tell the truth to the world. He demanded that the Centre give an answer as to why it bought Rs 526-crore worth plane for Rs 1,600 crore. He also asked the Centre as to why it failed to give the contract to HAL and what prompted it to give the same to a private company like Reliance.
“The Centre was misleading the Supreme Court on Rafale issue. I don’t understand why Prime Minister was scared of constituting a JPC on the issue if he did not have anything to hide,” he said.

Prabhakar also said the BJP has to shut down its offices in Telangana as it lost deposits in 108 Assembly constituencies. Making it clear that the Congress was not demoralized with the recent defeat in the Assembly elections, the former MP said they were exploring the reasons for the defeat of the party. Alleging that CM KCR has unleashed poaching of MLAs-elect from the Opposition parties by offering cabinet posts, Ponnam asked the Chief Minister whether he has no capable leaders in his party to hold MLA posts.
Commenting on the defection of several party leaders into the TRS, Prabhakar said he urged the party high command to hold protest programs before the residences of all such leaders. (Maxim News)
