Don’t Trust Fake Promises Of TRS Leaders: Uttam

Huzurnagar, October 15(Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy has urged the voters of Huzurnagar Assembly constituency not to trust the fake promises being made by TRS leaders in their campaign for bye-elections to be held on October 21.

Addressing a series of meetings in Mellacheruvu, Nallabandagudem and other places on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said more than 700 TRS leaders, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and corporation chairmen were camping in Huzurnagar to mislead and cheat the voters. “Don’t trust their fake promises. None of them were able to bring any development in their own constituencies. Many TRS MLAs have went on record in Assembly complaining lack of development in their areas and denial of funds. They are not in a position to tour their own constituencies due to poor performance. But they are thronging to your localities seeking votes. Don’t trust their words as none of them will ever return to your locality after bye-elections. They will completely vanish after end of poll campaign,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said as the MLA of Huzurnagar since 2009 he has brought immense development by executing projects and schemes worth more than Rs. 3,000 crore. Similarly, he said Congress candidate and his wife Padmavathi Reddy had a great track record in serving the people of Huzurnagar. Stating that they had no children, Uttam Kumar Reddy said they had considered people of Huzurnagar as their children and family members and dedicated their entire lives for their service. “We’ve not changed in the last three decades and remained accessible and accountable to our people. We believe in ethics and moral based politics. We will pursue the same in future,” he said.

The TPCC chief said that the TRS Government has failed on all fronts and not a single section of society was satisfied with the performance of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao. He said KCR has neglected all sections and did deliberate injustice with many groups. He condemned KCR for not giving any representation to Madiga community in his cabinet. He accused CM KCR of insulting over 40 lakh Madiga population who constitute nearly 12% of State’s population.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also blamed the Chief Minister for rising unemployment in Telangana State. He said the jobless youth were neither given jobs nor the promised monthly allowance of Rs. 3,016. He said hundreds of industries and factories were shut down after TRS came to power which resulted in huge loss of jobs. Presently, he said more than 24 lakh highly qualified youth were unemployed in Telangana. He said more than 18 lakh eligible youth were registered with the Telangana State Public Service Commission. But the State Government was not filling up over 2.5 lakh vacancies in the government. Instead of creating jobs, he said KCR has been trying to snatch the jobs of over 48,000 RTC workers by illegal means.

The TPCC Chief said that the Congress party was supporting the agitation by RTC employees and would extend required cooperation. He appealed to the RTC workers not to get disheartened and lose hope by trying to take extreme steps. Stating that the life of each and every citizen of Telangana was valuable, he assured that the Congress party would continue its fight until RTC workers get justice.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Uttam Padmavathi addressed a series of corner meetings in different areas of Huzurnagar on Tuesday. She said her victory in bye-elections would symbolise the political empowerment of women. She said CM KCR, who claims that he supports 33% reservation for women in legislatures, has deployed a large contingent of TRS leaders just to defeat her. She alleged that TRS leaders were distributing huge money and liquor to influence the voters. However, she said people of Huzurnagar would not fall prey to such tactics and ensure her victory with a huge majority. (Maxim News)
