Door-to-door garbage collection should be done effectively: Commissioner Ronald Rose
Hyderabad, August 18: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has directed the officials to remove the garbage collection points in the city and conduct efficient door-to-door garbage collection in the initial phase. On Friday, the Commissioner inspected the places where GVP was removed in Madhapur and Ayyappa Nagar. The residents of the colony were asked about the lifted GVP on this occasion. The residents of the colony explained to the commissioner that there is no problem due to the lifting and that there is no need for GVB as Swachh Auto is coming from door to door for daily collection.
Subsequently, the Commissioner went to Parvatpur Colony and while the GVB was inspecting, the residents of the colony got angry with the SFA as they came with garbage. They asked the colonists who came there to find out the reasons for that. He explained to the commissioner that due to the fact that Swachh Auto was not coming every day due to going to morning duty, he was coming to GVB and dumping the garbage. On this occasion, the Zonal Commissioner and Additional Commissioner of Sanitation were ordered to take disciplinary action while expressing their anger against the SFA. Subsequently, he visited the Goshas operating in Jubilee Hills and inquired about aspects related to sanitation.
Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, Additional Commissioner Upender Reddy, DC and others were present along with the Commissioner.
