DOST Admissions Process In Degree Colleges In Telangana
Hyderabad, Sept 24 (Maxim News): The DOST admissions process in degree colleges in the state has ended. So far, a total of 2,05,106 candidates have joined. Admissions have increased compared to the previous year.
there are 4,40,107 seats in 967 degree colleges across the state, of which 2,05,106 seats have been filled. Another 2,35,001 seats are left. Out of 3,77,907 seats in 830 colleges under DOST, 1,76,143 seats have been filled. Of this, a large number of seats have been filled in government degree colleges.
However, out of 2,62,770 seats in 635 private colleges only 1,00,472 seats have been filled. A total of 1.62 lakh seats are left in private colleges. On the other hand, out of 23,614 seats in 70 degree colleges, only 11,257 seats have been filled. Another 20,000 seats are left. Overall, while last year only 1.96 lakh admissions were made, this time the admissions have increased by 8,664.
Recently, 8655 people got admissions through the spot process in government and private degree colleges. Of this, 3,037 people were admitted in government degree colleges and university colleges for the first time, 5618 people got admissions in private colleges. (Maxim News)
