Double Shock To Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal In One Day 

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 15 (Maxim News): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was arrested and undergoing judicial custody in Tihar Jail related to the Delhi Liquor Scam case faced disappointment in the Supreme Court.  Kejriwal did not get relief even in the Supreme Court.

Kejriwal filed a petition against ED’s arrest.  The bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna clarified that the arrest challenge petition will be heard on April 29.  At the same time, the Supreme Court issued notices to the ED on Kejriwal’s arrest.  The Supreme Court directed the ED to reply by april 24.  A petition has to be filed to this extent. 

Earlier, he also filed a petition against his arrest in Rouse Avenue Court and Delhi High Court.  However, both the courts rejected this petition.  Now the Supreme Court has also said that it will take up the investigation later.  As a result, Kejriwal will not stay in jail for a few more days.

The Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial remand of CM Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquor case till april 23.  Kejriwal is currently in Tihar Jail.  The authorities produced him before the court through Video conference.  (Maxim News)
