Dr. Balakista Reddy Appointed As New TGCHE Chairman

Hyderabad, Oct 16 (Maxim News): The State government appointed Dr. V.Balakista Reddy, Professor of Law, as Chairman Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

An order to this effect has been issued by Principal Secretary to Government (Education) Burra Venkatesham.

Dr. Reddy said he would take charge on Wednesday or Thursday. Dr. Reddy, who is Dean School of Law, Mahindra University, has been given a three-year term as Chairman of TGCHE.  Earlier, he served as registrar at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

He served as a professor of International law and also held various leadership positions at NALSAR, including director Centre for Aerospace and Defence Laws and the Centre for Tribal and Land Rights.  

He was also the LL.M. course coordinator for International Trade and Business Law at NALSAR.  (Maxim News)
