Draw For Selection Of Haj Pilgrims Postponed

Hyderabad, March 16 (Maxim News): The Qurrah (Draw of lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims from the General category for Haj 2017 from Telangana State is postponed.

In view of Election Code of conduct announced Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Special Officer, Telangana State Haj committee in a Press release issued here on Thursday. The Qurra was scheduled on Saturday March 18, at Haj House Nampally, Hyderabad for selection of 330 Haj pilgrims from out of 17,564 Haj Applicants in General Category, He said.

He further said that the Telangana State Haj Committee received a total of 20,601 Haj Applications including 743 applications under Reserve Category ‘A’ (70 + years) and 2294 Haj applications under Reserved category ‘B’ fourth timers totaling 3037 Haj Applicants under both the Reserve Categories, who are declared selected without Qurrah, he said.
